if either of those two ladies win the Presidency because they are going to need someone close who has some experience running a government.

You mean like Obama and Biden? Palin has more executive experience (as well as running a government) than the two of them combined. And it already shows.

Palin has far more experience running a government than Romney has.

Well as a long-suffering Massachusetts resident, I can say that even if Palin does not have more experience running a government than Romney, she is certainly better at it.

Agreed—I was in MA through the Romney era as well!

"After all, we’ve HAD career politicians and, as Cain says - “how’s that been workin’ for ya?”

A line, by the way, he lifted from Palin. Back in 2009, Sarah opened a rally with the line, "So, how's all that 'hopey-changey' stuff workin' out for ya?" She has continued to use it several times since.

Nice to see Herman following a real leader.

Grunthor - I’d like the top or bottom of the ticket to have been a governor of a state.....for at least one term.

llandres - Uh...Sarah was a governor.

Now guess which part of my post you didn’t read.

“But Herman’s been CEO of a large corporation and Sr. VP of another, turning both of them around from near failure to big success. We need someone like him with extensive business experience and financial acumen. After all, we’ve HAD career politicians and, as Cain says - “how’s that been workin’ for ya?”

I love Herman Cain precisely because he’s not a politican. I only watch the debates because he’s in them. Part of the problem with the current President is a lack of leadership experience. While Cain would be infinately better, I am not sure that running a company translates to running a government or a nation.

” Palin has more executive experience (as well as running a government) than the two of them combined. And it already shows.”

Guess which part of my post you forgot to read. Oh never mind, I’ll show you;

“I’d like the top or bottom of the ticket to have been a governor of a state.....for at least one term.”

I do not believe for one minute that she has the experience needed to fix what is wrong with our government by her lonesome. She’ll need someone far more experienced than herself and NO I don’t care why she didn’t finish out her term, the fact is that she didn’t and takes a hit on experience for it.

It made sense for Sarah Palin to resign her office as it allowed her to more quickly prepare herself for the presidency.

A few years back, I gave up my current job at the time so that I could pursue a higher level position. It worked out for me in the long run and I never made any apologies are branded myself a quitter. Had I stuck it out with the old job, chances are, I would have been so mired in the details of that job that I never would have been in position to assume the higher level position I hold currently.

Bottom line is that if Palin did an honorable things by resigning her position and allowing the people of Alaska to have a full-time governor. Contrast that to Obama, who held a senate position while running for president and missed 90% of the votes during that time and did not do very much to represent the people of Illinois.

If you want to get technical, it’s a signature line of Dr. Phil’s he started using on Oprah, then later on his own show many years ago - “and how’s that been workin’ for ya?”

But it was so good, both Palin AND Cain started using it :-)))

Women aren’t honest about why they don’t like her or at the very least won’t discuss it when asked. They might with other like minded women around but they they won’t discuss it with men.

That’s what I have found too.

I don’t think those who don’t like her ,know what it is they dont like themselves.

I don’t get why any woman who calls herself conserative doesn’t love Sarah as much as we do.

I totally understand why the left hates her.

I never even heard of her until McLame had her be VP running mate.

Now he’s done 2 good things, served in the military, and introduced us to Sarah Palin.

Now if only he’d retire.

: )

“Some people think outside the box. I usally welcome them with open arms.”

God bless you. But you’ve probably experienced what I have - when you think outside the box, you often are called paranoid or irrational (at least by those who disagree). Glenn Beck’s talked about that as well. That’s why he kept a visual record of all his predictions, which were labelled “crazy talk” at the time by media & critics, but over time have almost all come true.

Sometimes creative thinking is a lonely road, yes?

“I only watch the debates because he’s in them.”

I’ll tell ya, another one you’ll probably love in the debates (if he can gain enough name recognition to get in them) is Thaddeus McCotter. Check out some youtube or cspan clips of him speaking. The guy’s brilliant yet low-key. (Greg Gutfeld, no intellectual slouch himself, really likes him a lot.) Here are a few for your viewing pleasure:

“While Cain would be infinately better, I am not sure that running a company translates to running a government or a nation.”

I think the principles are the same - if you’re a great hands-on leader like HC has been. I listened to an interesting clip of him being interviewed (and endorsed!) by Michael Savage, where he talks about how he approached the corporations he led by first working one of their stores from the bottom up:

Actually, Dr. Phil stole it from me, as I used to say that back in high school in the 1960's. Whatta gasbag.

Rather than get absurd with your petulant gainsaying bullsnot, let's agree that Palin was the first current practitioner to coin it's use on the campaign trail, and Cain has followed suit.
