I suppose the truly gifted are more innately resistant to that process than are others... I've often thought that if, when I die, I still feel like a 17-year-old inside, I will consider that my time on this mortal coil wasn't completely wasted.
When I was much younger, we had a saying, "Never trust anyone over 30." Time being the cruel Mistress that she is, that saying loses all its punch when by necessity it becomes, "Never trust anyone over 80..."

Or how about “Never trust anyone UNDER 30”? Seems fairly appropriate nowadays, in light of all the brainwashed kids who helped put BHO in our WH.
