They used to say Reagan was a dunce ...Bushes 1 and 2 were stupid ...Quayle was an idiot because he spelled potato wrong ...Now I'm in an argument with a friend of a friend on Facebook whp says his cat has more brains than Palin and Bachmann , and that Hilary has forgotten more than they know put together ! What would you saud to this jerk ? I just can't ignore him . This was my latest response :

" Typical leftist modus operandi : use the dumb card ( or race card or whatever other card is at their disposal ) ...Reagan was a dunce they said...Quayle an idiot because he spelled potato incorrectly ...Bush was a 1 and 2 were stupid ...Now Bachmann and Palin are dumb ...So predictable ...Only the left have brains ...I see ...I see all too clearly ..."

Hey, Hillary suffered under sniper fire. Our gals haven’t done that.

Sarah Palin's Alaska.

Send them a picture of Todd Palin.

Then point out that Sarah held on to HIM through the whole shellacking, and five kids; but Hillary couldn't even hold the attention of lardass Bill.

And Hillary got fired from the Watergate Judiciary Committee staff for unethical behaviour: she got fired from the team *Prosecuting* Watergate!

Source.

Look up Palin's Wall Street Journal editorials from before her run for VP: give them to the friend without the byline.

Tell them to look at Palin's record rooting out corruption as Governor of Alaska.

Cheers!

I think it’s a little childish of someone to unfriend a friend because one of their friends is having a political back and forth.

The poster showed a level of frustration, if not anger, with the person. That goes beyond a simple political back-and-forth. The fact he felt the need to post his frustration on this forum shows the level of angst he's feeling.

And that's my point. A friend is a friend is a friend. And friendship goes beyond poker games, fishing, sports, girls-night-out or backyard barbeques. Friendship means you're there for the other person. And if that person is being treated poorly by another of your friends, you're remiss if you don't act on behalf of the injured party. And it shouldn't have to wait on the request of the injured party. Being an online situation where the "other" friend isn't a friend of the injured party, the middle friend has to be aware of the issue.

Once again; when it gets to that level, the friend should be there for him. While I don't know all the facts, I have to assume the friend hasn't been helpful. If that's the case then IMO the friend either needs to step up or be un-friended. You may not agree, but that's my belief. I take the old saw "What are friendships for..." seriously.

As I stated, I spend little time on Facebook. I find it silly, inconsequential and sometimes self-demeaning the way people use it. I only keep my account for the occasional contact with very close friends and relatives, and a way to keep up on what's happening with a couple organizations I belong to. But friends, whether Facebook or otherwise, are just that to me, and they deserve my allegiance as well as my fun side. Yet, if they take me for granted, then maybe they need a wake-up call...
