It's not like God didn't leave behind numerous records of this event. There are differences in the records.
Actually most are man made, with significant weird embellishments. Genesis stands above all the rest, with endorsements from the the Lord Jesus Christ, the Apostles Paul and Peter.
That is why Genesis is considered Sacred Scripture as opposed to all the others.
