You keep trying to make the point that TEXAS POLITICS ARE SPECIAL.

Then you reject every criticism of Texas politics where they differ from the American norm.

Can't have it both ways. Either Texas politics are part of the American system or they are alien to our ways ~ FOREIGN EVEN ~ maybe the sort of thing that happens when you get overrun with Mexicans.

You people need to figure out whether you are Americans first, or Texans, or whatever ~ then send up your boys to run for higher office. After Johnson and the Two Bushes you are on double deep probation!

I keep trying to point out the reality of not just Texas politics, but the politics of most of the South, particularly in the 80's and 90's. If you wanted to be in state or local politics in the south, for the most part, that meant being a Democrat. Southern Democrats would vote for the GOP on the national level, but for the Democrats on the local level. Sorry if you cannot comprehend that.

...you are on double deep probation!

Sez who? You? LOL

Your state gave its electoral votes to Obama in 2008, did it not?

Glass houses, stones, green Jell-O twice a week and all that.
