“don’t put things in their mouth, just turn them on their side.”

Thank you! Bless you!

Putting something in the mouth of someone having a seizure is likely to hurt them not help. This myth needs to be put down. Terrible that the media still perpetuates this myth. Saw another TV show using this same myth again recently.

I’m epileptic and have several seizures a week.

Turn the person on their left side, and make sure there’s nothing close that they might hurt themselves on.

Why the left side Tigermoth? I never heard that - just to the side, my son has upwards of a dozen a day (he has a VNS implant that helps minimize them). His first one we actually witnessed was right after Sept 11, 2001 but I think he had one a few days prior, he was “kicking” the wall or so I thought at the time and just thought he was being a typical teenager.

As fate would have it he had a pretty decent one this morning with him ending up in the ER with nine stitches on the hose, seven in the corner of his eye lids. Somehow the eye itself escaped damage but there was blood everyhere.

Stay safe!

Have you tried the ketogenic diet ? They say it can be a miracle recovery for epilepsy. Just wondering if it works for everyone. I eat that way for general health.
