Oh yeah.......we have HD and after a couple of hours we’ve decided that one or more HD sattelites are out.......we can’t reach Dish either. We’re watching regular Dish....not Dish HD.

Did you check to see if something fell on the dish and knocked it out of alignment? Like a tree branch?

A couple of months ago, I lost my cable TV signal. I finally got hold of customer service. They said I had to turn the box off for 30 minutes to allow the system to reset itself.

That resolved the problem.

Ciel 2 (NORAD 33453) is a commercial broadcast communications satellite owned by Canadian Ciel Satellite Group[1]. It was launched on December 10, 2008 from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan by ILS Proton-M/Breeze-M vehicle. The satellite is built by Thales Alenia Space and is based on Spacebus-4000C4 bus. It is the largest Spacebus class satellite built to date (5561 kg). Operating from 129° West geostationary orbit position, its 32 Ku band transponders will deliver high-definition and other TV services throughout North America. The satellite delivers multiple independent spot beams in Ku band.

Dishnetwork has decided to spot beam local affiliates of major networks instead of offering them on CONUS as was previously done on Echostar 5.

Folks at home use an OTA antenna. Deep fringe thing. Picks up thirty-six channels, all HD. No fees, no outage, unless the TV station is using a satellite feed. Nothing else worth watching. A friend had loaned us his receiver box once to see if it was worth the hundred or so bucks a month. Nine hundred ninety-nine channels and nothing worth watching.

Dish was out here (western So. Dak.) for about three hours.

Customer service lines were all busy, as was the website.

Our local cable guy told us that the satellite was down.

Came back on about 90 minutes ago.

Ok; Unplug the television set. Go get a screwdriver. Take the back off of the television set. There will be a black wire, and a red wire. disconnect one end of each wire from the television set. take the disconnected end of each wire, and twist them together. Put the back, back on the television set, and put the screws back in. Then plug the television back in. That should fix the problem, but if it doesn't, call the satellite company.

I’m in southwest Georgia and mine went out about 6pm and I’ve reset about 4 times. Goes through the signal recovery just fine and then back to Partial Signal Loss error code 002. It has 2 tv’s down. The weird thing is the other 2 tv’s are working. I’m resetting mine now.
