Yeah. Cain’s a good man. But Obama has soured the country with his racist garbage.
If his new blitz is anything like the blitz we saw last night, he might want to re-evaluate.
I was not impressed. I don’t think most Republicans want a blitz style campaign that will hurt the party. If he does do a Liberal style blitz campaign acting like he is entitled to win at all costs we are doomed.
I was willing to give him a chance, I now dislike him intensely, and consider him a divisive candidate because of his lie about the lobbying for the HPV virus and his illogical subsidies of illegal aliens.
In regard to being an idealist at all costs I’d consider him a mirror image of Obama.
Four years ago at this stage of the contest Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson were strongly in first and second place and John McCain was trailing in third place.
Yup!
That’s why I’m mystified about all of the Perry supporters who’ve all snapped up their marbles and gone home, throwing in the towel for Romney. It’s still early folks.
There’s still time to squash Romney.
Uh, Tex...?
Dukakis never faced Reagan in a debate. Dukakis ran in 1988 against George H W Bush. Reagan ran in 1980 and 1984. For the record, he destroyed Jimmuh in the last-minute debate, turning a razer’s edge race in to a blowout, becoming instantly known as “the Great Communicator.”
Dukakis debated Bush. Although SNL’s line (”I can’t believe I’m losing to this guy”) was legendary, it was recorded before the debate. While Bush was mediocre at best, Dukakis completely imploded. Asked an outrageous question (by Bernard Shaw, of all people!) about whether he would seek the death penalty if someone raped and murdered Kitty, Dukakis gave a flat, dull answer that in no way suggested any emotional response to the question. It was the end of his presidential campaign, for all intents and purposes.
Perot was a crony capitalist who swindled the government out of billions of dollars, although this was due to the government’s stupidity, not anything criminal on Perot’s part. He had no electoral experience, and nothing to suggest he was at all qualified to be president, except he was very, very rich. And he did win the debates. But he dropped out. And then came back, claiming space aliens had conspired with the CIA and President Bush to ruin his daughter’s wedding. He got 19%. If he had had Rick Perry’s debate skills, he would have gotten 16 votes nationwide, and never been asked to another debate.
Don't want to call it amnesty, ok, well fine, but if you have a way to solve this problem without offering those good hard working people a chance at the American dream, and live within the constitution then I'm all ears..
So, fellow Freepers.. What's your solution to the illegal problem? What, deport all of them? yeah, right, like that's working out well. Amnesty, Oops sorry, ugly word around here, or some effort to keep the good one’s who's only crime was looking for a better life is I'm afraid the only logical solution, PERIOD!
Tim-
There are 9 more debates. The next one is on Oct 11th at Dartmouth in NH. After after that a debate scheduled for Las Vegas.
I agree with you. We are electing a president (GOP nominee) and not the captain of the debate team. Problem is, Perry made three major stumbles last night and showed he is unprepared for debating his fellow candidates.
Perry needs to do well on Oct 11th., Anything less is unacceptable.
Despite what media calls his 'personal issues' ( at least we know them) trust Newt the most, to get the "right' job done. Know too, he will not be Prez.
Just hope, whomever wins this; listens to him.
Mark Levin spent a fair amount of time on this very issue last night.
I don't fully understand the rationale for the fools rush to identify a front runner and cut the others out at this early stage - fter all the first primary election isn't until March 2012. And we are still 11 months from the republican convention with almost 14 months to go to the general election.
Haven't we had more than enough of the country being pushed into the panic mode and making ill-informed decisions over the last three years?
We had Bush's 3 AM panic call from Paulson and Bernanke about the economy collapse, then the TARP panic, followed by the rush to pass Stimulus, then the rush to pass ObamaCare before anyone had a chance to even read the bill, and on and on.
Have republicans adopted the liberals strategy of locking in decisions before all the facts and information are in and time allowed for an informed analysis? It sure looks like it.

As we say in the lottery...
Please Sarah! Announce already and spare us this nightmare of lightweights who are only going to ensure we nominate Romney.
A lot of Freepers who support Perry have been dismissing those of us in Texas who actually have watched him be our governor for the last 11 years. I wish I could say he was the real deal but he is not. He is close enough in many areas to get your hopes up, but under the hood is a very slick Bill Clinton like politician who consistently does things that are the opposite of the ideology he claims to promote. I view him as just another of the hand picked sock puppets that are international globalists who have been selected by either of the parties to be president since the 90’s. American is being destroyed by these guys because it cost a fortune to put them in place and those who put them there do not have America’s best interest as a priority. Business as usual will continue until the public quits being enamored by politicians appearances and starts making decisions based on actions and results (sigh, wishful thinking).
Ok, forget the debates and let’s just look at Perry’s record only....
unfortunately for the Perrywinkles, his record sucks also.
Perry’s record is amazing, you Paultards just are blind.
I’m supporting Gingrich now, warts and all. He’s the sharpest mind and best communicator on the stage. Cain is a close second.
Excellent post!-—Spot on!
Remind self to check youtube later for a Hitler’s Downfall on Perry.
Now I understand why Perry continues to get re-elected....Texans LIKE Willard.
