I haven’t seen any posts here defending McGinnis.
The problem is that Palin supporters here see any rational criticism of her such as “does she have the experience?” as the same thing as McGinnis. Which is absurd.
And I repeat: no one around here was downgrading Palin in 2008. To the extent there was any enthusiasm for McCain, it was because of either 1) positive enthusiasm for Palin, and/or 2) fear of obama and his Marxism. No one here enthusiastically supported McCain because they thought that he was just great.
Finally, your cocky, condescending attitude is precisely what I was referencing in the previous post. Can Palin win (if she runs) without activists, like those here at FR?
Yes, maybe.
But she’d have a much better chance if conservative activists universally got behind her campaign. But they won’t, because (for better and for worse) conservative activists don’t like being talked down to, by fellow activists, or by candidates, or really, by anyone.
So, good luck and we’ll circle up at the end of October and see if Palin is running...or not, and how she is doing around here, and elsewhere, at that time.
I am not cocky. There are many P.O.S’s within the Republican party who tried to bring her down TMZ.com style. Some are still trying.
If she were in the race right now, they would recycle everything they could from 2008.
We know what these people are trying to do. They don’t know it, but they are like roaches crawling across white carpet. Thats how visible it is.
