First Lady Michelle Obama was spotted shopping at Target by an Associated Press photographer who told CBS News he was tipped off that she would be there.
AP photographer Charles Dharapak told CBS News he took the picture at the Target on Route 1 in Alexandria, Virginia.
The first lady's office confirmed that the picture showed Mrs. Obama, though it did not immediately respond when asked if it tipped off Dharapak.
"It is not uncommon for the First Lady to slip out to run an errand, eat at a local restaurant or otherwise enjoy the city outside the White House gates," said Kristina Schake, communications director for the First Lady.

The black caucus types have been getting mad at the fancy vacations and parties.
Time to show 'em the Obamas are just like them.
She buying herself Depends, and cigarettes for her husband.
Incognito? Heck! That is the way she always dresses and looks!
Union or non-union I don't know about that. But I do know that if you shop at Target you're giving to the DNC by default.
Besides, these photos are not GREAT, just mediocre snapshots.
Michelle needed something to go with her $40,000 bracelet.
She's carrying one in each bag, there's one on the bottom of the cart, the woman behind her is a 250 lb man in disguise, and then she's got the two guys who she carries around in her hollowed out butt.
Just remember that Target has always been the store of preference for democrats. Democrats have been known to protest the building of a new Walmart and they'd be protesting with Target signs.
Like Starbucks, Target is a pro-democrat place of business. You will NOT see the Obamas at Walmart.
Oh, ya, i never would have recognized her! (eyeroll)
I wonder if she can shew gum and push a cart at the same time
And buying toilet bowl cleaner at that
That's Barbra Streisand, Bacon Sandwich, and road apples all rolled into one.
Just because throngs of nerds don't fawn all over her doesn't mean someone didn't recognize her.
yep election campaigning
>>Oh yeah, I frequently find myself shopping at Target with my SLR out of the camera bag, the lens mounted and the mode set to RAW
I think the story said that the photographer had been tipped off beforehand.
