Heh, the Flowbee has a disclaimer that it doesn't work on "tightly curled" i.e. African-American hair. But that would actually apply to me!

My roommate in college used to "save money" by cutting his own hair. Most of the time he ended up looking like the Dutch-boy on the paint can.

My husband actually does a passable job with a Flowbee, you just have to do some cleaning up with a shaver. I cut his hair for years but I just couldn’t get it short enough for him.
