Actually the matador inflicts no brutal injuries on the bull. That is left to the Picadors. They stab the bull in the neck so he has very little lifting power of his head and can usually only hook left and right. The matador merely uses the cape until he is ready to kill the bull using only a sword. It takes great courage to be a Matador. BTW, to the idiot talking about people who hunt for sport. Most hunters hunt for the meat and not for the sport. Hunting is a proud tradition handed down to us by our forefathers. What is the difference if someone kills their own meat of if they have some butcher kill the animal for them?

The difference is the hunter isn't a coward and kills his own meat. He doesn't hide behind a butcher and then tries to claim the high ground.

That matador is a craven coward. I suggest you go kill a puppy- it takes about the same level of skill.

Matador, picador, it’s still pointless brutality.

Any hunter worthy of the name tries for a quick, clean kill instead of prolonging the creatures agony simply to play to a crowd of blood thirsty animals.

El matador earned every moment of pain the bull was able to inflict and then some.
