When we buy a boneless turkey breast it’s tied up with string. Other than that, no string in the kitchen.

Those are good. Throw the thing in the crockpot and let it cook all day. No fuss, no waste.

I explained to Hobbes that I cook like a peasant and that string was def FOOFiER than what i do. Whyisa makes fantastic meals for her husband and son. I would love to go to her house for dinner. But no way am I inclined to go through the trouble for the ingrates in this house who would, best case scenario, gobble it without comment or worst case, turn their noses up at it.

My daughter loved chocolate eclats when she was little-she used to take them apart and eat them bit by messy bit while I stood by with paper towels...

Some tout Newt’s debating eclat
And say that makes him “the guy”
Because he can out-argue Obama
But I’m not quite certain why-

He has a bit too much baggage
He can’t keep his libido in control
If there is a female who appeals
He will entice her into a roll

In that, he reminds me of Clinton-
They share that particular vice
But Clinton was turned on by youth
While Newt appears attracted to ice

And I remember how he wimped out to Clinton, and how he sat on a couch with Nasty Pelosi and pushed global warming, and how he spoke out for amnesty, etc-just NO!

No twine in the kitchen here unless it is for sewing the stuffing into a turkey-and I quit doing that about 10 years ago. Years ago when my first husband and I were young and my daughter was a little one, I used to season, roll up and tie pork steak with stuffing-it was a cheap, healthy and filling dish when served with steamed veggies or salad- following a recipe I found in The Joy of Cooking-I think that was the book.

You must have grown up pretty darn poor if you think string is a luxury item. ;-)

(For me, we only needed to tie up the food before it was dead. )

IIIRC, what you said was, ‘I explained to Hobbes that I cook like a peasant , but entertain like a porn star’. hence my jealousy over Ceej’s visit!
