Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt will not be retained after this season, multiple sources told ESPN.com, and the university will make an announce at a 3 p.m. ET news conference. Nutt Sources also said that athletic director Pete Boone also will not return once the university hires his replacement. It's not clear when that announcement will be made. Nutt, in his fourth season as coach of the Rebels, will coach the remainder of this season. Ole Miss has lost 12 straight Southeastern Conference games dating to last season and is assured of its second straight losing season under Nutt. Coming over to Mississippi from Arkansas in 2008, Nutt led the Rebels to nine victories in each of his first two seasons, including back-to-back Cotton Bowl wins.

Black bear ping
The AD Pete Boone is gone too, Archie Manning will be on the search committee according to an espn message board.
Now, that sounds like sexual harassment.
Well, Miss State’s been doing better in the SEC,but with Southern Miss now #25 in the latest BCS..well...this was bound to happen...
Recruiting has been his weakness. The same thing happened at Arkansas. Did good with some elses recruits until that ran out and then it’s time to move along. At 2 1/2 million/yr. he’ll be okay.
‘Bout time! Hotty Toddy!
Memphis talk radio mentioning that Tubberville might be a possibility, though slight.
I was never so glad when Ol Miss took the Nutt off our hands, especially since they played against us each year and saw how easy it was to outcoach him. I wondered how long it would take them to get their craw full of him. Now I know.....4 years.
Who is coaching at Millsaps these days?

Nobody asked those Ole’ Miss girls about their grade for Nutt...
Tubby?? Lordy Lordy!!!
Mike Leach (ex Texas Tech)?
Texas Tech lost me as a fan when they fired Leech.
Never fear, Ole Miss. This time next year you’ll have Mizzou and Texas A&M to kick around.
What are Archie Manning’s qualifications to be involved in choosing their next AD? I would never want to speak ill of any Manning when it comes to Ole Miss football but, really? What (besides the name) makes Archie even remotely qualified to be involved in this kind of decision for the university — and all of the lives that the decision will impact?
Archie Who is a god at Ole Piss.
I heard a rumor on twitter that Urban Meyer just bought a house just outside of wherever Ole Miss is. (Just kidding)
