I've been around a lot of construction and every (especially) high iron job has a flag.

I've been around a lot of drilling rigs and every rig has a flag

The frack tanks have flags and a few of us had flags between our teactor and the trailor (sand can)

I've passed a few flags in my travels and I have given a military salute and held it 'til I passed by.

This article is just another piece of evidence varifying how deep the enemy is embedded in our culture/politics and lives.

A co-worker of mine, Marine vet from Desert Storm, yesterday sent an email to everyone in our company (a few hundred people):

“this is the day for thanks and a day to remember the ones that that made it home and the ones that gave all for their country..it is my belief that all veterans should have the day off with pay. this is the day that i remember my father who fought in Vietnam and did not make it home and the Marines that i fought with and bled with. some of whom did not make it home. the price for freedom is not free.thanks to all that have and are serving for this great country of ours. god bless america. Cpl. xxxxxx x. xxxxxxxxx USMC retired”

Shortly thereafter the plant manager took him aside and said, in effect, if he ever sent out an email like that again he would be summarily fired. Probably the part about “day off with pay” set him off. The email “to all” reached up to the highest corporate levels.
