I wanted to share a FACEBOOK private Message I received tonight from an old friend (actually, my first boyfriend) who now lives in Massachussetts. Anyone who is my FACEBOOK friend knows my politics, hence..this..
Hi Hildy, I write to you privately so as not to air our differences in public.
Do you still think much of Herman Caine, [sic] who knows nothing of foreign affairs, and admits it. Is this who should make decisions that will effect the entire world? Do you really not believe that it is the 1% are the ones who the republicans cater to? Do you really believe that they care about "Joe six pack", or just lure him in to believe that he too can have some of that American pie "? I live in a million dollar home and have considerable savings, but still have the heart to care about those less fortunate.I truly believe that the republicans are about keeping the tax cuts for the extremely wealthy and let the poor working schmuck pay all the rest. I find this despicable, and don't mind paying my fair share of tax's, as long as the supper wealthy pay their share. What's your take on this?

The current welfare state leads to extremely low self-esteem among minorities. At the risk of sounding racist, have you ever noticed how many blacks are grossly overweight? I see it every time I go grocery shopping, since I live in a now predominantly black area.
That obesity stems from a sense of low self-esteem and it is a snowball effect. The worse they feel about themselves the more they overeat and the cycle continues.
And then Mooshelle comes along and starts preaching about what they should and should not eat...completely ignoring the emotional toll that making them dependent on the government and virtual slaves to the state has taken on them. It’s positively criminal what the left has done to the blacks. But you won’t hear the left-wing media talk about it. It’s just not politically correct to do so.
Big government has also done similar damage to Native Americans, btw. Let’s face it. What..among everything big government has gotten its’ greedy paws into...has big government NOT screwed up? I can’t think of a thing, offhand.
Same in California. My aunt has a house there that’s worth a little over a million. It’s not even as nice as the house my parents left me in Texas. It all depends on where you live and what the cost of living there is, which effects the cost of real estate.
But yeah, the putz thinks he is a big man. He’s just too stupid (and too leftist) to know he’s just another moronic Obamazombie.

My lib friends post this crap all the time on Facebook. Our last fight was over the environment. They claimed Kalifornia is leading the way in environmental policy. I reminded him that 5 of the top10 polluted cities are in Kalifornia.

Meanwhile, in the REAL world, another euro country (Spain) is on the verge of dumping its socialist government.
He reminds me of a term David Limbaugh used in an article this week: “Uneducable Democrats.”
They can’t be taught anything political or economic because their minds are set in concrete. Only a very nasty economic mess might succeed in jarring them out of their lefty funk.
View what has happened in Europe the last two years or so: socialist governments are being kicked to the curb. Spain will toss its governemnt this weekend. Yet “elite intellectuals” who think like this Taxachusetts boy want to go down the same socialist path to oblivion.

Better to turn the tables on them and mock them and laugh at them. Do to them what they have been doing to conservatives forever: make fun of their imbecilic ideas and howl at them with bellowing laughter.

I sometimes tend to think that many ‘liberals’ are simply liars and thieves who arrogantly think that they can sucker honest people into believing they seriously believe in a alternate liberal politic. When they ask questions like this, they aren’t being honest as much as they are probing to find the weaknesses in the thinking of an honest person and how they can work around their weaknesses.
I am a Republican BECAUSE I care about the poor.
The problem with liberalism is it defines “helping” the poor only in terms of giving them money. Give them money, problem solved.
This attitude represents extremely short-sighted thinking, actually exacerbates the problem of poverty, and shows how un-caring liberals really are.
I was poor. Actually I was pretty happy living in a mobile home, working a blue-collar job. Today, I would be defined as poor and worthy of a hand-out from the government. I would have squandered it, and never been motivated to go back to school and get my degree. By making the decision to not strive to better myself, I would have lost my dignity, and my self esteem.
There is something that goes awfully wrong when someone extends the hand and accepts money from government. We are not wired to be fulfilled in this manner-this is what liberals don’t “get” about their “help” for the poor.
It is cruel, dumb, and extremely selfish for liberals to ignore the psychological devastation wrought by their “give ‘em money-problem solved” thinking.
Freedom FROM government handouts should characterize any program designed to “help” the poor. Dignity is important. Maintaining self-reliance is important, and poverty can never be helped by destroying these two psychological imperatives for one to be happy and fulfilled.

Plus people seem to forget that anything they post on the web can and will be seen and read by many eyes. Potential employers, the public, friends, enemies, etc. It’s risky business to spill your guts on the web IMO.
