Hildy, one approach that always works with these type of statements is to ask "okay..your premise is that you are willing to pay more if all the rich do also.....okay tell me how much more....We know that as things are now government will continue to raise spending amounts so You will have to keep giving more and more....So how much is too much for you?"

See at some point it reaches a" this has got to stop" level for everyone if you leave the government unchecked and entitlements from cradle to grave.

Your beau's problem is he is most likely constantly surrounded by liberals and never hears opposing views by someone of your intelligence.

My relatives tricked me into joining facebook so we could keep in touch and catch up.

They are from the south and have voted democrat all their lives because that’s what the family has always done. This makes absolutely no sense to me because so many of them are small business owners.

The only one who wasn’t a democrat was Granny and that was probably because she was up to her eyeballs in scripture 24/7, knew the difference between right and wrong and had the discernment to think for herself.

Several of them kept nagging me to join a facebook page about overcrowding and environmental issues. I kept ignoring the invitation and nobody has spoken to me since.

They fall for everything the media puts out there and have the nerve to tell me “Well, bless your heart!”
