iTS ABOUT BOTH. sorry for the caps. don't mean to yell...When my kids were small, I taught them about the birth of Jesus and since we cannot give him presents we give presents to others...sometimes it was taking childrens presents to the parish priest house to find some children to give them too...When they were adults I went to the office in the little town near by that gave out Christmas baskets for the poor than signed up. (and the woman in charge checked up to make sure they were needy) it was part of Project Hope program that a catholic priest started.
I would get the name of a family and the age and sex of the children and each one of my adult kids and their family were responsible for getting presents for the child who's name they picked...We did that until I sold the farm and moved away....
So you can have Christ and presents at the same time...
You seem to have overlooked the “communist China” detail.
Why?
Is making jobs and import revenue for communist China part of Christmas now?
