Cubans have a distinct taste that is very different from Dominican, Nicaraguan or Jamaican cigars. Also, when they burn, the ash will be a dark grey color, not a light grey-to-white like others.

I double checked, and it looks like the hologram may not be used on boxes shipped overseas.

And....my beloved Montecristos have been very consistent over the years....always the same, always recognizable, even if I go a year in between.
