Do You Believe Herman Cain
Nodems2000

Posted on 12/01/2011 7:04:57 PM PST by Nodems2000

Well what does everyone think after the Hannity interview? I've listened carefully to all his interviews and even though I liked Herman very much, I believe he was involved with these women, even if they are scumbags. First, has anyone noticed how he seems to "prey" on women who are vulnerable and bogged down with financial and legal issues? Second, he has said repeatedly "my wife loves me so much" but he's yet to say "I love MY wife so much". Doesn't that sound very egomanical? Third, he said his wife would never tell him not to run. I'm suspecting she wouldn't dare tell him not to run because she's riding the Cain Train too - the Cain Money Train. If you watched her interview she sure didn't seem to be madly in love with him from things she said. And now he's going to "analyze" the phone bills to see if they match up with hers and he and his attorney will do an investigation. When Sean suggested he could get the info to clear himself very easily, such as videotapes in hotels, plane tickets, etc., etc. he suggested Sean wanted him to play detective! Well, sorry Herman, but it would take all of ten minutes to pick up the phone, call the Ritz downtown Atlanta and ask for videotapes on such a date and at such a time! That would end it once and for all. Him and his "analyzing". God help the 3 a.m. phone call - God forbid the red phone goes off for a missle coming our way - by the time he got done analyzing we'd all be bar-b-que!

Don’t you usually get a “bag” when you have colon cancer?

Yes you do. Sexy, eh?

I gave money to Herman Cain. He said he needed it in order to campaign for a better America. I believed his story and gave him a little money to help out. I told one friend ... but no family members. Does this mean I'm having an affair with Herman Cain? Wow. Who knew it was so easy. Sin sure is sneaky.

Maybe because he didn’t have these problems, so how could he know they would surface?

CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, senior exec at Pillsbury....what I’ve seen of corporations is you can’t get to the top and be naive. About having Stage 4 cancer - that’s probably when they had the break in the 13 year relationship. What REALLY clinched it for me is when he told Sean he wasn’t playing detective when Sean suggested he get the videos of his visits. He flat out refused. What man running for president and has a wife at home that’s not really thrilled right now, wouldn’t make a 5 minute phone call and demand the Ritz produce the videos. Honor restored and case solved. I was truly hoping he’d do that.

You're missing the point, he told us it didn't happen, then the proof comes out that it did. Then he told us that it did happen but it was all found to be unfounded and dismissed. Then we found out that was a lie too. She was paid.

The rest doesn't matter, they are all excuses. How much or how little is meaningless, he said it wasn't true, but it was, he said she wasn't paid, but she was. That is where it ends with me. I don't care about the rest of it. He lied to us 3 times with just the POLITICO story.

Then He tried to blame Perry, the media, "They", the "Democrat Machine", Rahm Emanuel, never once did he say, "look, it all happened to me, because of something I did, right or wrong, my employer had to pay someone to not work. it sucks, but I learned that someone in my position needs to be more careful about being alone with women or doing or saying anything that could be used to hurt me or my employer".

Had he done that I would have said, 'yep, there are crazy ass people out there that like to take something for nothing'. Instead, he blamed everybody else and he learned nothing proven by a 13 year relationship he hid from his wife. That is all I need to know. What is in the text message is pointless to me.

I own a business and I have employees and their wives, husbands and kids that depend on my business to be successful and we can not afford to have an employee who puts us all at risk by making stupid personal decision that could hurt us. If I had to pay someone a years salary to NOT work it will hurt all of us. This guy wants to run my country and I wouldn't hire him to work in my office based on his actions.

Again, it's not about 'did he sleep with them or not' it's about his actions as a whole.

I haven’t continued to read through the thread and have missed a lot. All this controversy really shows up the different ways people think. I’m surprised at any who think some of the issues being discussed ‘don’t matter’ if they still like someone.

I watch a lot of court shows during the day, and many times the plaintiff claim they have e-mails to prove their cases. When they produce the e-mails, they prove nothing of the kind. They just hope the judge will misinterpret the e-mails to boost their claims in court. I don’t doubt there are e-mails, but I would like to see exactly what they say.

I don't care. He hid all of it from his wife. That's where it ends.

I see it as a business owner, how would I treat this if he was my manager. He already has been sued twice, don't care if he did it or not and now we find out there is another woman he hid from his wife and has put himself and his employer at risk again. If he worked for me I would fire him. I sure as hell wont promote him and that is what he is asking us to do, to the most powerful man on earth. No sale.

I do give people money, or supplies, or a place to stay, etc. If I have something, and someone I care about needs that something, then of course I give when I can.

Just today, at lunch, the guy sitting at the table next to me, whom I had just met while we were sitting there talking, couldn’t find his wallet. He was going through chemotherapy, had to quit his job because of the cancer, etc. When he couldn’t find his wallet, I happily offered to buy his lunch for him. But he found his wallet and it wasn’t necessary.

If people want to accuse me of having affairs with everyone that I help...

It reminds me of a saying we had in Grade School:

“What you misread in others is merely a reflection of your own mind.”

Mountain Mary - the key here is that he was “friends” with this White woman and he knew her 13 years and his wife didn’t know she existed. He was giving her money (and gifts if you believe her). I don’t entirely believe any of the women. He response is “I have given money to men, many people”. But were they a secret from his wife? It really annoyed me when he kept repeating how much his wife loves him but never said anything about how much he loves her. Don’t you think a man who has had this many sexual accusations could slip in “I’m crazy in love with Gloria, my wife” or something. He said “she told me today she loves me” - but what did she say after the “but”. She’s active in the upper echelon community of Atlanta and in her interview she said she’d never smile and stand by her man admitting to adultery if you saw her interview. I thought he looked exhausted tonight and it was very sad. The fact that he got involved with losers really has me going back to my days of psych nursing. She may not be a lesbian per se - She may be ac/dc. This scenario really creates concern in me - will be be able to believe him as Pres.

Why did he keep his 13 year friendship with her a secret from his wife?
I mean, if you are friends with someone 13 years, it’s usually a family friend. No? Why won’t he ask the Ritz for the tapes on the nights in question? The only reason this is an issue for me is because if a situation comes up and he has to go before the American people, he will need everyone on board - or will they think he’s lying. I could be easily convinced he didn’t do it if he’d produce video tapes - end of story.

(every guy out here knows why you hide a 13 year relationship from your wife)

I have read all your rantings, and the above sure sounds like a confession on your part. So, using the same yardstick you are using against Cain I have to assume that you either admitted the relationship you had, or kept it from your wife.

I think Perry would do ok as president. He was a state governor who was being hampered by Washington in what he could do about illegals, without pissing of Latino Americans.

I think, if he became president, he would sincerely take on the problems of America.

- We have seen some FReepers already swap their candidate picks 1-2-3-even 4 times

It does not cost a penny

But to put your own home up as collateral for a loan to become a partner in a profitable business

- Well - That is another thing completely!

What didn’t happen? What was he supposed to admit to?

Cain was screwed no matter how he answered the question. If he had said that he knew them, it’s basically an admission that he had intercourse with them and had them bear his children, as far as politics goes. Even if he had only known their first name and nothing else.

Without context, the admission of knowing somebody means nothing. She said she sent him the texts. She didn’t say that she received any texts from him. Once the info on the texts is released, we’ll have a better basis for evaluating as to what happened.

I have a few women who text me all the time, I don’t send any suggestive texts. They are casual friendships. According to you, I can’t be a Republican unless I admit knowing these women and if I did admit knowing them, I can’t run because my admission of knowing them automatically means I’m sleeping with them. At least according to the Republican standard of accepted behaviour, as defined by many Freepers.

I swear, Jesus Christ himself could not run as a Republican, if you were to hold Him to this impossible standard.

Your Republic wouldn’t even have gotten off the ground if you were to hold the Founding Fathers to the same standard, I guarentee that.
