he Duggars were given heartbreaking news on Thursday.
According to People, during a routine check-up where Jim Bob and Michelle were supposed to find out the sex of their 20th child, their doctor was unable to find the baby's heartbeat. Michelle was told that she had miscarried in her second trimester.

From the article, it sounds like she was farther along than the first trimester (she was due in April). I am guessing she was induced to have a stillborn (rather than a miscarriage?) No matter the technical wording, prayers for the family. They lost a beautiful child and they will be in my prayers.
Very sad news. This may be a sign that she can’t have more children, at least not at the rate she’s been having them.
I have been very fortunate not to have had any miscarriages. I cannot know what you are feeling, but I know those who have had them, including my own mother and daughter, who had three. It is very sad and I’m sorry for your losses.
No heartbeat on the ultrasound. That’s what happened to me, but I was 9 weeks pregnant when they did the ultrasound.

I was so sorry to hear this sad news, and will say a prayer for this precious family.
Most pregnancies over 45 end in miscarriage, but in this case the Duggars were well into their second trimester and probably trusted that all would be well. So very sorry for their loss.
