Yes he will. But LDS is not considered a mainstream religion by many conservative/Moderate/independent voters. Enough conservative voters that it will swing the election. Sorry if this is hurtful to anyone but I believe it to be true.

Yes, many moderate/independent voters would be swung by that, but do note that many are prejudiced against our religion as well. Even many FR posters...

So, all in all I prefer it to think of Santorum or Gingrich as conservative candidates first, who belong to the Church.
