I Believe in Tim Tebow
ESPN.com ^ | January 13, 2012 | Rick Reilly

Every week, Tebow picks out someone who is suffering, or who is dying, or who is injured. He flies these people and their families to the Broncos game, rents them a car, puts them up in a nice hotel, buys them dinner (usually at a Dave & Buster's)....

Remember the QB who lost his leg, Jacob Rainey? He got his prosthetic leg a few weeks ago, and he wants to play high school football next season. Yes, tackle football. He'd be the first to do that on an above-the-knee amputation.

Hmmm. Wonder where he got that crazy idea?

"Tim told me to keep fighting, no matter what," Rainey says.

For the game at Buffalo, it was Charlottesville, Va., blue-chip high school QB Jacob Rainey, who lost his leg after a freak tackle in a scrimmage. Tebow threw three interceptions in that Buffalo game and the Broncos were crushed 40-14. "He walked in and took a big sigh and said, 'Well, that didn't go as planned,'" Rainey remembers. "Where I'm from, people wonder how sincere and genuine he is. But I think he's the most genuine person I've ever met." .........

He may or not end up being a great QB, but in the eyes of Jesus, he is a great Christian.

I truly enjoy this man. He is a great Christian. We just have to stand behind him when he slips. We all do. We are human. God understands this. The press and liberals don’t. Thank you Tim for a great story.

I was going to say “God Bless Tim” but clearly He already has. With heart and integrity on top of raw talent.

How about; Thank you Lord for Tim Tebow.

Why does he have to be playing my New England Patriots tomorrow night?

I'm going to root for the Patriots, but if the Broncos prevail, I will still be happy. That's a weird feeling.

I am positive that he did. Tom Brady is also a very good person.

But he’s no Tim Tebow.

Welcome to my world. The Broncos beat my Steelers last week. Honestly didn’t think the Steelers were healthy enough to make it through the playoffs to the super bowl anyway, but it would’ve been nice to make it further. That said, the Broncos with Tebow at the helm are not a bad opponent. Rather have them knock the Steelers out than say the Ravens. Watching Tebow come along and learn the game is fun, just as Rodgers has been doing for a couple of years.

I don’t like the Broncos but I am a Tebow fan. I thought, how cool would it be for him to knock Roethlisberger out of the playoffs, since I like the Steelers least of all. Little did I know Tebow would turn all-pro for his 1st playoff game.

Did anyone else catch the stat that he is the 1st NFL quarterback to ever throw for 3 passes greater than 50 yards in a playoff game. (First since the ‘70 merger.) He had a 125 passer rating.

I got my wish so it is stretch for me to hope he can beat Brady & Belichick at home. I think Tebow has met his match, but I still hope he beats the Patty’s.

Yeah, his ex-girlfriend Bridgette Moynihan doesn’t think so, but he did dump her for a lingerie model while Bridgette was pregnant with his child.

I too am a die hard Steeler’s Fan...but after reading all the great stories on Tim Tebow I am now a Tebow Fan, where ever he will play...

He most certainly has been blessed by the Master and he was put on earth for a reason. In this crazy liberal world that is being destroyed by Obama and his czars and tribes, it is so refreshing to read of a good person...who knows maybe some day he will be President...but he will be known as a Great Giver to others, that is certain. GOD BLESS YOU TIMMY AND GO FOR THE WIN.

EXACTLY how I feel! I am totally Patriot fan.. i feel so conflicted!
I really want Pats to win, but if Denver wins, i won’t be devastated like i would if they lost to any other team!
(( GO PATS!!))

Gifts from the same source but without the acknowledgement of who is really in charge. We are all products of that “same source” but many prefer to lean on things human instead of on their Creator. Brady is a great quarterback but can’t hold a candle to Tebow in the areas of manhood that really count.

Nobody is perfect. But in my eyes, Tom Brady and Tim Tebow are both great Americans.

I completely agree. God has blessed US with Tebow. He`s a shining light not only in the dim world of the NFL, but the darkening world of America.

Tim has impressed and inspired a lot of people. John Parr has rewritten “St. Elmo’s Fire” to “Tim Tebow’s Fire” in a tribute to his dedication, and believing in something.

I have to admit, I’m a huge Parr fan , have been for years, and I kind of like this!
