We ask Mr. Cain would think better of this. Mr. Cain is trying to build a whole powerful political empire based on the most logical "9-9-9 Concept", and having an impact on elections and social commentary on behalf of Conservatives, however at least in speaking for myself, he will find no more donations nor support from me if at this critical juncture--and I will encourage across the board that other conservatives behave accordingly--if he were to endorse in critical, turning-point South Carolina the phony RINO Mitt Romney, author or supporter of such monstrosities as Romneycare and pro-abortion/pro-gay unions and one the least conservative in the GOP presidential race remaining.
This statement is made respectfully yet seriously. Any other members-emeritus on FR of the Cain Machine who feel likewise, are more than welcome to add their names to this general appeal and advise against such an inprudent move.

who is your source for this information? give us a clue at least!

If Cain does this it will be really depressing :-(

I don’t think Cain is going to endorse a person. He hinted as much on a recent interview.

If he’d throw his support behind Newt, along with J.C. Watts, a Conservative just might win SC!

Legitimate question.
His own words recently, extrapolations of various comments he has been making, on television shows such as The View, the tenacity of the Romney campaign to secure such a nomination as they have been working overtime to gain endorsements of others who have dropped from the race, tactical coordinated-like movements of the GOP Establishment of late, etc. (We call this "the Fix".) It is a collection of utterances, hints, trial balloons that seem to be floated, and other factors, taken as a whole. It would be the second endorsement of Mitt Romney by Herman Cain in two election cyles, were it to transpire. However, it is my opinion it should be short circuited and pre empted, if that is even possible at this time.

Does anyone really give a rat’s rump what Cain says anymore? He jumped ship and never looked back. So much for all that “patriotism”! /S

I guess it would be "unconventional" given that Cain and Newt were working quite close to each other in the campaign. Before the problems started with Cain one could have almost assumed that if either of the two had won the nomination, the other would be on the ticket as well.
I'd be surprised if Cain endorsed Romney, but stranger things have happened.

He’s angling for a cabinet position or something. Remember they are all politicians or at least wannabe politicians.

I respect and admire Herman Cain.
Used to respect and admire Nikki Haley.
Keep that in mind, Herman.

Mr. Cain was ONLY on the train to help Romney from the beginning. Every sceptic he had pointed to that probability and yet Cainiacs were in denial.
He’s a showman and a book salesman and a talk show host. He wanted to fry Mexicans on an electric fence. Tsk Tsk Tsk. He’s heartless. Now proving it by endorsing Romney.
To: tsowellfan
He endorsed Mitt last time around. Why does anyone think he’s not going to do it again? I mourned the day Cain gave in and dropped out.

What political risk does Cain have?
He was a one shot deal.

Didnt some speculate that possibly Romney played some part in bringing down Cain?
At least the establishment that appears to be mostly is behind Romney didn’t do anything to help Cain.

I'd be surprised if Cain endorsed Romney, but stranger things have happened. FWIW, I happened to catch an MSNBC interview of him a couple of days ago. He was bothered about the Bain thing, said he would make an endorsement on January 19th, and said he would be supporting whoever the GOP nominee is.
Take it for what it is worth.

Pretty sure Herman Cain will indeed endorse Romney (he already did in ‘08, so there’s precedent).
He’s been co-opted by the Establishment now and feels like he’s part of the big boys, so he’ll do his part to curry favor with them.
