I was here..just that FR is soooo sloooooow..wasn't gonna watch my screen try and load for two hours..

For whatever reasons, I can't seem to get into AI this season..maybe it's the "jump the shark" season...it seems less about the music..more like a bad reality TV show..and none of the contestants so far strike me as having any real star potential..

Lots of chatter here in Tampa about the young girl...the ball player's kid....she's good..but I don't see her as top ten material

Has anyone sung a Whitney Houston song yet? in previous seasons, it seemed to be everywhere..

Ryan Seacrest announced that American Idol will be paying tribute to Whitney Houston this week on their Hollywood episodes, since Whitney Houston had such an impact on the show’s hopefuls. Ryan revealed at last night’s Grammy Awards: “I can tell you now that I was on the phone with American Idol producers. We are trying to figure out how we can go in and obviously pay tribute to Houston in some way and acknowledge the impact that she had on popular singers, popular music and young singers that are trying to make it. So we’ll see.”

Although there were no details released of what we can expect, we know we can expect a tribute of some sort to Whitney Houston on both Wednesday and Thursday night of this week. Meanwhile, we heard Simon Cowell reveal that Whitney Houston was being considered for a judging spot on The X Factor, but Nigel Lythgoe also shared that she expressed interest in American Idol as well, as he wrote on Twitter: “What is even more shocking to me regarding the death of Whitney is that only this Wednesday (February 8) she responded positively to mentoring on Idol.”
