Did she really cut and die her hair? She looks a lot better.

After all that Hilfiger fashion advice, Phillips shows up wearing a gray jacket, lol.

Phillip Phillips

His song is a grunting, groaning cover of "Movin' Out". It's okay. The audience loves it. Judges are all smiles.

J-Lo: I felt like you were taking out some aggression on your mentors (laughs) You are who you are. Awesome performance! Perfect rendition for you.

Steven: You took that song and Phillip Phillips-ed it. [admires the fact that he completely ignored the mentors advice, particularly Tommy Hilfiger's. He throws Phillips one of his trademark scarves. It looks like a shredded Hefty bag.]

Randy: Jimmy and Diddy take the guitar off--he doesn't take the guitar off. Tommy told you not to wear gray--he wears gray. Dude, stick to your guns! You know who you are!

Seacrest suggest he throw the scarf into the audience. "It's just not you". After some more coaxing, Phillips hurls the scarf into a crowd of Ferlies.
