Sorry dude but you can post till your fingers bleed and the keys on your keyboard become stuck in congealed blood but it does not change the fact that you made yourself totally irrelevant to the discussion on this thread by calling everybody that disagrees with you a racist and moron and by doing so you totally lost all credibility and any argument you were trying to make. You are a prime example of Goodwin’s Rule even thou you didn’t directly use the Nazi or Hitler comparison you were close enough to that it applies to you.

Just because you are into a certain sound it does not mean that millions of others share that same interest. Bottom line everyone knows, will all most everyone, that musical taste is a personal preference for each person as they discern what is pleasing to the ear. People freely chose what they like to be entertained by. So as an entertainer it is up to them to captivate the audience and if they can’t it doesn’t matter how good they are technically.

I love Hound Dog Taylor. For me he has a unique sound with his guitar playing and voice but I know not everyone is not into it. But even thou I really enjoy his music I don’t go around berating people who do not like him. So it is with American Idol. It is an entertainment contest where the audience votes for their favorites. Like Lana Del Rey no matter how hard they try you can not force anyone to like what you like. No matter how many venues they put her in for public exposure or how they repackage her she only appeals to a very niche market and not to the broad public masses. And since AI is held in the free republic of America when we as citizens have the right to vote for any person we choose then the will of the free people will triumph. We don’t need anyone telling us who we should like or who we should vote for.

Some people have poor taste. Some people have bad taste. Ever heard of those concepts? If not, it's because your taste is bad or poor. People with good taste appreciate higher-quality art, craft and talent. People with bad taste/poor taste will probably enjoy Phillip Phillips better than the rest of the talent on American Idol this year.
