I just checked her out on line, and I think I’m going to buy “Southern Memories.” Thanks for mentioning her in your post!

My mom and I were big fans of Natalie Dupree’s show “New Southern Cooking” on PBS and I have that cook book. I might have to order “Southern Memories” myself.

Natalie represents the more gentile and traditional and classier example of Southern cuisine and life style – much more like the Southerners I known and love. Paula Deen’s cooking “style” represents the trailer trash; how some people cook when they are not cooking Meth. : ),

I’ve watched a few episodes of Paula Deen, and..
well, I found her disgusting, to be honest.
My Acadian Gramma (Memere) would have been appalled at her cooking!
