Eli Manning just jinxed the Giants for the Super Bowl.
Players are not supposed to touch the Division Championship trophy because they want the Super Bowl more.
They are all touching it now.

New England will kick their a$$ now.

It was....

And I'm sure that no one will be speechless during the rematch of the Giants and the Pats in the SB.

Cheerleader shots pretty much only ever show up for the normal prime time games (Sunday night and Monday night), “day” games they almost never show them. Been that way for ages and ages.

Too bad for you. Last time these guys played it was one of the most purely entertaining SBs ever. And they had a heck of a match in the regular season too.

That’s a hockey tradition, not a football tradition. The vast majority of NFL conference finals the players grab the trophy.

A ‘northeast’ Super Bowl...ick. Which network got stuck with this ratings pig?

Right, because the northeast is such a low population area. Sometimes people just say things that make you go Hmmmm.

Not bad for me at all...personally; I just find both of these teams bland and boring...enjoy the game!

question: i just got home but, am i the only one that thinks the Ravens receiver was starting to spike the ball when he lost possession in the end-zone on the next to the last play of the game???

It’s a heck of a matchup. Power defense vs do anything they want offense. Nothing bland or boring about either team.

Not in the super slomo I saw. Punched out as he was spinning. If he was starting to spike it he’s an idiot. Hold on to that ball until the ref asks for it, the catch rules are too complex to take a chance.

"That’s a hockey tradition, not a football tradition"

Now you've done it. Big time argument going on in the family.

Will open that question up tomorrow at the Americn Legion Post. Those old farks know everything.

Been waiting for you to show up.....now put down your beer and step away from the tube. We’ve got two weeks and numerous promos to suffer through before the SB.

One of my big pleasures in the NHL playoffs is watching the players avoid touching the conference trophies. But in football nobody worries about it. Go to youtube. do 1 search on “nfl conference trophy presentation” and another on “nhl” etc etc. NFL players don’t sweat it. Of course sometimes NHL players TRY to touch it. When the Penguins won it all having lost the year before they decided to do some things “reverse” of how they’d gone the year before and the first “reversal” was the conference trophy, they’d avoided it the year they lost so they went crazy with it the year they won.

Guess so...doesn't ring a bell. Usually don't watch unless an interesting team makes it...Packers, Steelers, Saints...

Patriots vs. 9-7 Giants? Meh. Shame that game between the 49'ers and the Saints last week couldn't have been the Super Bowl...that was amazing.

i saw the punch-out but... it looked, to me anyway, like he was just starting to raise the ball for a spike when it was punched out of his hands

just curious if it looked like that to anybody else, guess not

The 49ers need to find a way to get rid of Alex Smith. He is terrible. Maybe Kyle Williams too.
