My kittehs--a 15 1/2 year old Grumpy Old Man cat and 2 18 month old Little Girl Sister kittehs are all indoor cats. They have never spent any time outside. They have windows to sit it and watch the birds and traffic, and they seem quite content and happy.

One neighbor had the decency to speak to you. Not everyone is this civilized. There are plenty of creeps out there who do horrendous things to small animals, and in some places, there isn't any legal penalty because pets have no $$$ value.

Keep your beautiful kitteh indoors. Play with her. Keep toys available (ping pong balls in the bathtub--Kitteh Pong!!!). Make kitteh spaces where she can climb and watch you from somewhere near the ceiling.

Dittos on keeping them inside. I have a couple of older cats
who have already learned to tread lightly on the furniture.

They sleep except when they are fighting each other, scratching at the post, watching the neighbors cats
looking out the window, or watching NHL Center Ice.
(Older cat is a Wings fan).
