Encomium
Noun
1. Warm, glowing praise.
2. A formal expression of praise; a tribute.
pl. encomiums or encomia (-m-)
[Latin encmium, from Greek enkmion (epos), (speech) praising a victor, neuter of enkmios, of the victory procession : en-, in; see en-2 + kmos, celebration.]
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

We were 4H, but we dropped them as they wanted our United Way $ and we wouldn’t get it if it left the county, so we formed our own group. Just a bunch of us mom leaders. I was president and had to go present our budget one year. Everyone else was cut, we stayed the same. They really drill you and they wanted to hack up our budget. After our meeting, we kept every dime.
I hear you about the United Way, though. DH does not donate to them, he bypasses and donates to a couple of other charities. His company puts on the pressure to donate, though.

When combined with you-ranium and excessive praise it may cause the person to believe that possessing the most modest of abilities qualifies them to play the role of Buffoony, the Vapid Sayer.

he wanted to correct the record because there had been reports of vertebrae injury, to say NO, it was soft tissue injury and that it has healed. no timetable as of yet for a return.
