I fished there on the Scat Cat with my dad when I was about 12, some 39 years ago.

in the coastal “bend” of Tx. about middle of Tx coast. In the general area of Corpus Christi on one of the barrier Islands. Bad part (for us land lubbers) most of the
offshore fishing starts about 1+ hrs trip to get to deep water. Typical on day trips is 4hrs out /4hrs fishing/4hrs back. My exper.in the Galveston area. I went about 10yrs ago and we caught enough red snapper to “pay” for the trip at market prices then.

I also fished on the Scat Cat back in the 80s or early 90s. We were fishing for shark.
