If you are experienced in pulp & paper engineering type of work, there is hiring going on in Vancouver, WA - minimal travel. For more info, let me know.
We’re all old or ready to retire. Pulp and Paper. Hahahaha.
Thanks for the information. However, although I am an Industrial Engineer with 20 years experience in Paper Mills, I am doing quite well where I am with SS, SS disability, company retirement, food stamps, rent subsidies, general welfare payments, and continuing unemployment payments, it is a little too inconvenient for me to move to Washington. If you would consider move the mill closer to me I might consider it, but, until then, thanks but no thanks. Maybe you can get a good illegal to do it. They are all over.
I spent five years doing field service engineering for Babcock & Wilcox right out of school. A lot of that work was starting up new Black Liquor boilers and fixing same. Man, that was enough to last me a lifetime!
But I sure did enjoy working in Tacoma, Longview, Vancouver (WA), Anacortes, Port Angeles, Seattle and Wenatchee.
I discovered the laziest bastards on earth were the union electricians in the Longview area.
Very glad to hear business and hiring is picking up.
Hiring going on?? By god the stimulous money has worked!
Spent 8 years working as an engineer in pulp & paper in Oregon. Glad to now be away from Oregon, and pulp & paper down here in TX.
HA....
I saw your post from a few months ago looking for a pulp and paper engineering type position. I was wondering if you were still looking to fill that or similar positions.
Apparently my account is too new to send you a private message, so perhaps you can send me one if you want to talk further.
Thanks
