Lets war game the future by predicting a Romney win in the GOP primaries but a loss to Obama (close or a blow out). What happens post 2012 on the GOP side?
1. Who is the first to jump ship (pre-election or post election).
2. Who gets the blame?
3. What happens to the "Romney pimps" (you know who they are)?
4. Who does the establishment roll out as the "next in line"?
5. Who will be the anti-establishment candidate(s) or figure heads?
6. House and Senate numbers?
7. Who'll be retiring?
Bonus question:
1. Who will the Democrats roll out in 2016?
I’m afraid that is for “Generic Republican” and he’s not running.
Plug “Newt Gingrich” or “Mitt Romney” in there, and it flips in favor of Obama.
I know what happens to the RINO romney pimps
they get to sell their books and get audience for their TV gigs to their fellow elitist “moderates”
not conservatives who are scorned as just too stupid to see that this nation cannot be governed from the right, only from either full left or moderately left (sarc)
have not read a Noonan piece for years, I turn off Liz Trotta every time she shows up on something I happen to watch, Krauthammer, no respect, Hannity ditto, broken record boring guy
Ann Coulter also I will NEVER EVER buy another book from
I hope Michelle Malkin hangs tough!
I agree.
I predict Michael Medved will say we didn’t become liberal enough but he will never phrase it as that. He’ll use terms like “more inclusive” and “bigger tent”. In other words he’ll double down on what already destroyed us.
What makes you think there will be a 2016?
Who will the dems roll out in 2016? I say, that ugly arsed Gov. of NY—Cuomo.

True-—but we needed some good news right about now.
Prediction #1 -
If Obama gets re-elected, that will be the beginning of the end for the Republican Party.
Conservatives will have had enough of the party elite’s interference in the primary process, their repeated attempts to install their losing candidates, i.e, the guy who “was due” (see Dole, McCain, Romney ...)
Prediction #2 -
If Obama gets re-elected, the US could be headed for separation.
There’s no other way to square the circle, the country is devolving into two zones - the bleeding-heart low-productivity coastal states with their high welfare / loafer / illegal immigrant populations, and the productive central states, with mostly hard-working people. Worse, the Democrats are determined to turn that productive core into taxpaying milch-cows that will perpetually be forced to support the loafers (who, of course, will provide the Democrats with majorities). and all the while, a steady stream of socialist/liberal/welfare policies will be forced on those poor taxpayers. How can a backlash be avoided??

I agree with both predictions. Regarding stopping #2, we need as many people as possible to “Go Galt” at roughly the same time. Epic nose dive.
Pravda does its usual & Big Ears wins. Have we all made the necessary plans to survive?
If Romney emerges as the nominee, he will not do so without a dramatic floor fight, leading to a permanent break between conservatives and the "moderate" Republican leadership. If he does not, and a truly conservative nominee emerges - it conceivably could be a "draft" candidate - numerous party leaders may resign or be asked to quit. A third possibility is a "compromise" candidate, which given the rift in the party is less likely, but not impossible.
In any event, the general election result is unpredictable, as I strongly suspect that events this year will unfold at breakneck speed, both domestically and internationally.
This is Jimmy Carter II were running against. Good grief. Obama is going to lose in a landslide.
My prediction is that if Romney gets the nomination, Romney is our next president.
Direct hit by USS Alaska.
The elites will blame conservatives for any loss. If Newt loses, they will say the conservatives just can’t win a national election. Even though they know full well that mandate loving, with a morally checkered past and other concerns, Newt is a compromise for conservative voters. If Mitt loses, they will say conservatives did not come out and vote for him and cost the GOP the election.
It makes no sense to “worry” about what the GOP-elites are going use to make their anti-conservative message after the election. They already hate us. Whatever the result, they and their minions will try to do whatever they can to diminish our influence. It is our job to find conservative candidates and support them, even when the GOP-e decides to trash them with lies and half truths. We need to support conservatives and let the elites know that all their socialist candidates will be defeated. No mixed messages from us. Just say no to their socialists.
“Going Galt”?
As in...
1. Only work to cover you basic needs, denying the govt funds it needs to “feed the machine”.
2. Become as efficient as possible to drive down your costs.
3. Don’t bring forth new ideas, inventions or patents.
4. Protect you estate (or make is so small) so the govt can’t claim it.
5. Pay in cash.
6. Engage in barter and underground markets.
etc.???
Sorry but I’m not going to scared by the Boogey Man this year. If Romney is the nominee, I will not lift one finger to see him elected, including voting for him. If the Republican Party wants this conservative vote, then give me someone I can vote FOR, even if I have to hold my nose.
