Shilling for Obama?......some woman flipping everyone off?......hitting and kicking?......lots of booze?......sounds like the ex-wife’s family reunion.
Don’t know Clint’s feelings about Obama one way or the other, so hard to say what his intent was. Frankly, I found the ad confusing, unfocused; a murky “message”. Was he implying our country is at halftime? I mean, what the hell does that mean? Was it an ad for Obama’s re-election? I doubt it.
I find all the buzz about it amusing.
It was just a commercial.
It certainly was not Reagans' " It's morning in America".
Heck it made Carters' " put on a sweater & turn down the thermostat", sound positive.
But in reality it reflects where we are, rudderless, with out a true direction or leader.
THIS IS NOT A GAME.
There was a time when only HALF of a terminal patient's body is riddled with cancer cells.
There was a time when only HALF of the Titanic was underwater.
There was a time when only HALF of Europe had fallen to the Axis.
I read where the Clint Eastwood commercial about Detroit was filmed in New Orleans and LA. Guess it was too dangerous for him in Detroit. PS - the US at half-time is at 14 trillion dollars.
The only thing good about the Super Bowl yesterday was the game itself. The pre-game show (Including Barry the Kenyan Guy’s campaign ad with Obamabot Matty.), the commercials and the half time show all sucked. IMHO.
I thought the Chevy ad taking a shot at Ford should have concluded with, “I’m Barak Obama, and I approve this ad.”
Exactly my thoughts as soon as I saw it. And here we are paying for it with our tax dollars. They know no bounds.
“The “halftime” referred to in the Super Bowl halftime ad correlates to Obama’s re-election strategy. It is 100% an Obama propoganda taxpayer paid ad for his sole benefit, not Chrysler.”
Believe it or not, Karl Rove said exactly the same thing. Hannity played a short clip of him talking about it earlier.
Elsewhere, I read that Clint Eastwood said he “doesn’t associate himself with Obama”. (Or words close to that.)
