Tissues vs. Toilet Paper

When you have a cold or are suffering from allergies, tissues are a must-have, but the cost can rack up when you're buying them all the time. Have you ever considered using toilet paper instead? Here are a few good reasons why you should.

We've all grabbed a few squares from the bathroom roll in a pinch, but using toilet paper over tissues is actually a more cost-effective choice in the long run. On average, a box of tissues has 65 sheets and breaks down to about 2 cents per sheet. However, a roll of toilet paper has nearly four times as many sheets as a box of tissues and costs half as much.

Oh, I’d love one of those during allergy season! No more hauling around a box of tissues and no more nasty sleeves.

>>I’m a twist and flipper<<

...but do you *shuffle* through the slices to get to an interior one? [Carlin used to have a funny routine about that].

And which way do you roll?

As a retired Paper Salesman this picture brings a tear to my eye, thanks.

There is no difference between TP and facial tissue from the same manufacture. I specify “same manufacture” because there are a lot of differences between manufactures.

We did not sell on the retail market and all our paper was made from 100% recycled stock. Manufactures such as KC or P&G are primarily retail and make their product with 100% Virgin stock.

One warning for those using “Kleenex” do not flush them down a toilet. They do not breakup. If Kleenex were around when Noah got caught in the flood it would still be in one piece.

I’m afraid I tend to be a B side roller. As far as shuffling the bread is concerned, I don’t do it. However if the end crust is too small to use I give it to the dog.

—a full mustache (if you can grow one) solves that problem, no matter what product you use-—

My son has had a runny nose since September. During the Christmas sales I found some hankies with his initials on them for a great price so I picked them up. A three year old walking around with a hankie hanging out of his pocket is actually pretty darn cute. The natural cotton doesn't dry out his little nose and upper lip either. Anyway, I had him at the grocery store when a hippy in a “Think Green” T-shirt saw my son using his hankie. Guess what the steward of the Earth said. “Ewww, that is so gross. Did you see that kid put those germs back in his pocket?” Hypocrisy, thy name is liberal.

I always use paper towels - absorbent, strong. I rip them in half - rips pretty neatly perpendicular to the perforation line. They are not wimpy like Kleenex, and bigger than TP.

OMG! I never saw a mustache that I really liked but that has to be the worst. Does he have to shampoo after every meal or just save the snacks for later?
