I'm with onyx. In fact, Rome2000 said it best just a short while ago on another thread, about Christie being a RINO. Any R who is not a strongly principled staunch conservative with fighting spirit is a huge part of the problem:

I think it won't take long for Santorum to be shown as a shallow thinker and that is why he is so focused on religion lately - he cant build a cogent philosophy to run on. He caught fire when he started trying to emulate Newt, but he blew his wad on a couple catch-phrases and this boost is temporary at best. Newt is the one the establishment fears and Santorum would be "acceptable" to them if they can't get Romney.
