I don’t put much credence in this small, local straw poll. (Another Georgia straw poll within the last few days had Ron Paul winning.)

There hasn’t been a poll out of Georgia in the last few days. The next Georgia poll will be a much better indicator than this straw poll.

The latest polls indicate that Newt is leading in Georgia, but that Rick is gaining. Will Rick catch him?

If either Newt or Rick wins Georgia, it will help to stymie Romney’s efforts to win the nomination. On Super Tuesday, Romney will probably win Massachusetts, Vermont, and Virginia. If he is limited to those three, that will be a blow to his campaign. (Ohio, North Dakota, and Tennessee will be big.)

I bet turnout is down in Va. Primary voting with only Romney and Ron Paul on the ballot. That is unless a lot of ticked off people vote for Ron Paul to send the establishment a message.
