A little more reading up on it, and it turns out Lola was attacked by another dog owned by her owner — who then left her to die with strangers performing euthanasia.

I’d say Lola is lucky to have survived the unsafe environment and to have gotten a second chance of life in a home where, one hopes, she won’t be viciously attacked by other pets.

Thank you for “the rest of the story”. I couldn’t imagine a vet doing what she said that one did.

Thanks for helping point out “the rest of the story”. The dog was mauled by ANOTHER of the owner’s dogs. She has NO basis to complain about somebody taking pity on poor Lola and getting her to a good home. It’s absolutely crazy that somebody got fired for this woman’s callousness.
