it wouldn’t be much of a debate, because Newt & Sarah are cut from the same cloth....it’s difficult to understand why you like Sarah, but denigrate Newt. Herman & Newt are the reasons Sarah didn’t get it, because those two could carry the message. me thinks you are diametrically opposed to Sarah’s hopes, &/or you’re cornfused. & i’m from Missouri. please Show-Me where i’m wrong.

Sarah is a real conservative. Newt is a fraud.

Just because everybody flipped out and went crazy during the primary season pretending the last 15 years of Gingrich’s statements and politics doesn’t exist doesn’t change the truth.

For every brilliant, articulate statement Newt makes for something, you can usually find an equally brilliant, articulate statement Newt makes AGAINST the very same thing! Sometimes, within the same speech. It’s not an accident, it’s by design and how he covers his bases. Then, whichever way the wind is blowing, he can point to the statement that best suits the audience.

Example: Newt said the era of Reagan is over and that we need a Big Tent. Now he is trying to promote himself as the champion of the Tea Party and Conservatives, whom he accused were trying to socially engineer the government from the right.

If Newt Gingrich were a chess player, he’d have been Bobby Fischer, considered the greatest ever, but reigned for only a few years because he was undisciplined.

Example: In 1960, Fischer was blown out by Boris Spassky playing against the Kings Gambit (1.e4 e5, 2.f4 exf4). Fischer was so pi$$ed off that he wrote an article titled “Bust to the King’s Gambit”. It was so effective that that variation in chess in Grandmaster play almost virtually disappeared overnight. In fact, nobody ever even bothered to challenge Fischer’s ideas playing the King’s Gambit against him again because they’d assumed White would be in an unwinnable situation.

Ah, but in the 1963 US Championship against Larry Evans, guess what Fischer played against Evans, as White? The guy who destroyed the King’s Gambit, whipped it out himself for a crushing victory with White. He did this about 4 or 5 times in a career.

To this day, some people still wonder. Did Fischer really Bust the King’s Gambit, or did the King’s Gambit bust Fischer?

Note: I am pointing out the similarities between the two of taking two sides of an issue and looking brilliant on both sides, and mean no correalation between Fischer’s extremist Paulistina views and Gingrich’s.
