VANITY - Thread about radio stations that are pulling Rush's program.
3/5/12

Posted on 03/05/2012 11:10:16 AM PST by ruralvoter

Vox Communications, LLC has pulled Rush's program from AM 1420 WBEC in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Vox is based in vermont and has stations in Virginia, Massachusetts, and Texas. Please start listing radio stations in your area that have pulled Rush's program and if possible include their parent company information.

I called the local radio station and they said that they were told by higher ups that the show is being pulled. Local stations were not given an official station. The parent company does not appear to have a website and you are can not leave then a voice message.

Gosh I am in liberal Annapolis, MD and we get the DC Rush. I hope we don’t lose Rush. I don’t think we will but this thing has gotten way out of hand....for nothing.

And replacing it with Air America reruns.

That will draw an audience.

They’ll come crawling back when their listenership during his time slot goes to zero.

Would have happened without the apology.

Shame.

We need to polarize the media. One large corporate media oligachy cannot exist if it applies different standards to discourse based on political views.

Plus the oligarchy should anticipate reaction. Just being vocal and offended does not mean you are correct and in the majority.

LOL! Either that or Ed Schultz! A local station recently kept Rush on, but dropped afternoon programming that has Hannity on, replacing it with Schultz. Their afternoon audience has dropped off so badly, they are advertising through other sources to start listening to them again, pimping Schultz as “The voice of Amerika”! It's almost funny.

A woman is asking for money for sex and Rush states the obvious I would say they have been looking for an excuse to pull the program.

If it wasn’t for conservative talk radio, and maybe some local sports, who would be listening to AM radio? I’m not sure a lot of these stations can afford to dump listeners.

CALL ALL THE ADVERTIZERS FOR ED SHULTZ AND DEMAND THEY DROP HIM

(I suppose one of us will have to listen to him and see who advertises there first... any volunteers?)

We have two stations out of Norfolk, VA - both run by Sinclair Comm (I think) and one has already dumped Glenn Beck...
the other carries Rush but is now running a disclaimer before he gets on ....and I’ve been listening on this station for many years and they’ve never done it before...

I smell a Fairness Doctrine rat and if Rush is being pulled, the Regime’s first move toward censorship...
Bye bye free speech, folks.

Just like the advertisers, some radio station who has been sucking wind during that time period because they didn't have Rush, will jump at the chance to carry him.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Rush's show today (Monday 03-05-12) had double its listenership.

It's just like the debates, if they're not some controversy people find it boring, and tune out.

The left has been looking for a way to get rid of Rush for 20 years, and he's still there, stronger than ever.

FLUKE NEXT, FLUKE NUMBER PLEASE

Still on 770 KTTH in Seattle...

If too many stations drop him he’ll be welcome at XM/Sirius. After all, they welcomed Howard Stern so they aren’t easily offended.

This will significantly lower their listenership which will cost them ad revenue.

I called the local radio station and they said that they were told by higher ups that the show is being pulled.

Who were these higher ups?

Are they corporate agents of the Obama Regime?

Are the big Democratic donors?

Did Obama or George Soros give them a call and mention Andrew Breitbart?

Does Obama have dire on these higher-ups?

We must have the truth and not let these government agents deny Rush his First Amendment Rights.
