The driver was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries
A car went through a concrete barrier on Interstate 595, went airborne for 200 feet and landed on its wheels, authorities said Tuesday.
The car had exited southbound on Interstate 95 at State Road 84 before blasting through the barrier.
The driver was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Can a car do a 200 foot jump, if they are going around the speed limit?
Well I thought Mythbuster finally put to bed that myth that you can mount a JATO to your car!
Fifty yards...

Isn’t that a world record?
I actually saw something like this happen about 40 years ago! I was traveling with my sister and her husband to the MS Gulf Coast, and we were behind a car that ran off the road onto the median, just between the double spans of a major highway. His car flew through the air between the spans, and dropped onto the road that ran below, and perpendicular to the highway. My sister and I were stunned, and my brother-in-law booked it to the next exit. We roared into a gas station, horn blaring, yelling for them to call an ambulance. We never found out what happened to that driver, but it made for a real exciting event for us!
