Change The Game (Monica Crowley slams HBO's "Game Change")
Monica Memo ^ | 3-9-2012 | Monica Crowley

As I sat in a darkened theater at the premiere for HBO's new movie, "Game Change," I had the same thought I did when I watched Oliver Stone's films "Nixon" and "W." I thought: "This is what liberals think is a sympathetic portrait."

Make no mistake: this movie is disgusting and insulting to conservatives. Sure, the filmmakers toss in a few scenes in which the central character, Sarah Palin, is depicted in tender ways: as a truly devoted mother, and as a fantastic retail politician who not only connects with real people but really cares about them.

But the vast majority of the movie is an elitist slam of her and everything for which she---and we---stand.

Dude, you may not be aware that the Palins weren’t rich. Combined, Sarah and Todd made only about $200,000 a year maximum. They even had to take a second mortgage out on their house. Also, look at what she had to bear. Blamed for the Tuscon shooting, comedians and pundits calling her all sorts of nasty names, like c*** and t***. Take a look at these two threads. You might find them interesting.

She quit over legal fees? Lincoln saved the Union, Reagan won the Cold War, and Palin couldn’t even handle her legal bills?

Right. By state law at the time,

a) anyone could file a suit against the Alaska governor

b) the governor was required to pay all legal expenses for defending out of pocket (i.e. no state funds allowed)

c) The Dems sent up a team of vermin explicitly to take her out as a political force with nonsense suits -- e.g. the one alleging corruption because of her husband Todd wearing a jacket with a particular corporate logo in the Iron Dog, even though he'd been doing such long before Sarah was governor, or the one alleging that her legal defense fund was itself illegal.

But as a liberal troll, you already knew that.

What did YOU do to help defend her?

Cheers!

Only a moron quits her job as governor simply because of legal bills. What a pathetic excuse.

How am I a liberal? I support the conservative cause through and through. I support great conservatives like Sarah Palin. That is why I am so disappointed that she quit. Expressing my disappointment is in no way a liberal position.

Liberal wanted her to quit. It was huge benefit to liberals for her to quit.

If you were a conservative you wouldn't repeatedly troll people over Palin's exit from the governorship with disingenuous comparisons to Lincoln and Reagan.

You wouldn't be doing the happy dance over her exit.

You wouldn't have answered my charge by asking in effect "What makes you say that?"

QED.

How I am doing a “happy dance” over her exit? I was very disappointed when she resigned. I realized it was a fatal blow to her presidential chances. I was not happy at all.

Disingenuous comparison to Reagan and Lincoln? Hardly. My comparison was quite apt. Those leaders put up with a lot more than Governor Palin. Being shot, for example. It’s pathetic that Palin would resign over such a trivial issue like legal bills.

Let’s see, in one post you call her A great Conservative, and then in 2 other places you say she’s a moron (your exact word). Oh yeah, you’re real genuine alright.

Sorry, troll.

Your act has lost its punch.

Even great conservatives can do moronic things on occasion. Reagan traded arms for hostages with Iran, and caused the worst scandal of his distinguished career.

All I said was that quitting halfway through her FIRST term was a mistake. That makes it difficult for her to get elected president of all 50 states.

Um, no, you didn't say she did a "moronic thing", you called HER a MORON. Not a word that a non-troll uses to describe someone that they (supposedly) think is also a great conservative. Then again, maybe that's exactly what a liberal troll does!

Notwithstanding the above, no one who's a serious (conservative) person would describe Sarah's quitting (or Iran Contra for that matter) as moronic, even if they thought both were wrong decisions (I agree with Sarah quitting, BTW). They'd say something like it was short-sighted, an over-reaction or, again, just a wrong decision. Only a troll or some PDS obsessed strange bird goes over the top with a word like "moron".

Oh, and don't bother responding. I really don't care about anything else you have to say. YOur affliction is already pretty obvious.

Just as one can suffer a brief bout of insanity, likewise for idiocy. Except I fear that your condition is permanent.
