HBO's anti-Sarah Palin film "Game Change" scored some pretty impressive ratings over the weekend - 2.1 million viewers, according to numbers released today.
But while the cable network may be tempted to spike the football, it might want to do some digging on some other Palin-related data first.

In fairness, 2.1 million viewers isn’t bad for a premium network. You have to compare apples to apples, and there is no point in comparing a premium channel like HBO to a basic cable channel, and no point in comparing a basic cable channel to a broadcast channel.
For comparison:
Game of Thrones: 2.2 million
Spartacus Vengeance: 1.4 million
Spartacus Gods of the Arena 2.3 million
The Borgias: 1.7 million
Weeds: 1.3 million
Dexter: 1.2 million
Today I canceled my subscription to HBO. I don’t want my money going to support things like Game Change or Bill Maher. I should have canceled it a long time ago but the wife enjoys some of their programs.
Still far less saw it on HBO.
Let the market decide. And it will decide to can the POS.
That’s irrelevant. The title called it a ratings bust, and it’s nothing of the sort. Over two million viewers on a premium channel is enough to have execs high fiving each other in the boardroom.

I did the same thing months ago. Goodbye HBO and hello Netflix.
Nobody is watching this crap because she isn’t running and people know it is a joke.
I just cancelled my Netflix one month trial. I really expected a much better selection, plus they are one of the Limbaugh boycotters.
I agree.
There’s a small cadre of East Coast and West Coast libs that might watch it, but it’s a pretty small crowd.
I wouldn’t waste my time watching that thing. I think people should ignore that tripe and it will go away.

Maybe if all conservatives canceled it would send a message to HBO.
Just watched “The Undefeated” on Netfilx!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
ps. I’m not worthy to be Andrew Breitbart.
We dumped HBO yesrs ago.
If writers are so inept thst they have to use the eff word in every sentence, why bother?
They could send me 50 bucks a month and I still would ignore them.
We did see The Undefeated on Reelz, that was worthwhile.
Yeah but HBO had it on every one of it’s channels. Some were playing at the same time and then also consecutively. To the point that if you were surfing you probably were counted 6 or 7 times.I would like to find out how many play times they devoted to that bag of trash
I’d say pretty disappointing numbers considering the MSM hypes
Game Change 24/7.
I used to subscribe to HBO during the months True Blood was on for its first few seasons. But last season Allan Ball, as he always does in the end with all of his series, turned True Blood into a ridiculous, convolued mish-mash overlayed with copious amounts of gratuitous homosexual sex totally unrelated to the story. Ball also totally abandoned following the story lines of Charlaine Harris’s Sooky Stackhouse novels, and thus fundamentally gutted the series. I also noticed that HBO cut the production budget of True Blood to almost nothing last season since the special effects and large-cast scenes were essentially non-existent last season.
Unless HBO comes up with another Sopranos or Deadwood, I’ll never pay them another dime. There’s simply nothing worth paying for. Besides, there are too many cool new shows on non-premium cable channels like “Gold Rush”, “Bering Sea Gold”, “Pawn Stars”, the shrimping shows, and heck, even “Storage Wars”. I need to be either wowed with real story-telling with great writing, acting and direction, or I need to be learning something. Otherwise, I can’t stomach TV anymore.
Duh.
Who’s their projected audience?
Tea Partiers? We’ve got a REAL movies about the REAL Palin, which is accurate. “The Undefeated”.
It shows the REAL Palin and her REAL political campaigns. Why in the world would any sensible rational person pay for a fake?
Likewise the left is way, way to flaked out about Palin to want to see a rough approximation of the facts, which seems to have been the intent of the movie. They don’t want even a partially true fake. They want HATE.
So who in the world, is the audience??
I watched a little of Palin movie. The script was bad and the acting was worse.
