As one of many Freepers who has come to know you, and become very fond of you, through your multitude of posts on FR and your superb literary efforts, let me just say again that we're all thrilled that your recent medical "adventures" are all behind you, and you're now able to indulge your passion for modeling..and to share it with your grandkids, and pass along your passion.

When I was a lad, I loved doing model airplanes..the Revell models especially. My dad was a pilot in WW II, and I swear I had the entire 8th USAF hanging from the ceiling over my bed. I also enjoyed the sailign ship models...USS Constitution and the clipper Cutty Sark were my faves...and oh, the rigging....

I have two daughers, so was never able to share it with them...OTOH..got to know all about Cabbage Patch kids, especially those gawd awful Koosas.

My oldest grandson is now 5..so perhaps in a few years..
