While I might agree that the administration realizing it’s on the way out might engage in some kind of scorched earth tactics, how exactly would the Fedgov prevent an individual state from holding elections?
Who would enforce a such a decree and under what legal authority?
The Occupy stuff might inconvenience a few but we have some pretty spread out urban areas so life goes on with or without them.
Watch the govenors use their National Guard Units to wipe such a thing out before the Feds have to get involved.
Why suspend elections? Just create intimidation of conservative / shy voters, bus in illegals and use lots of voter fraud. And, if necessary, use OWS to create chaos at polling places so the government takes the ballots for “protection” and then makes the outcome they want.

This is exactly what some of us have feared almost from day one, and with this latest, chilling Executive Order that BHO penned under the radar on Friday, the open-ended DHS contract for hundreds of millions of rounds of ammo, and various events unfolding daily, it seems more and more likely.
If we blow this election with in-fighting and “sitting it out” in protest of whatever nominee, we sign the death warrant for our beloved Republic. It cannot survive a second, unrestrained term of B. Hussein Obama.
