Geraldo Rivera's Son, Gabriel, 'Ashamed' Of His Father's Opinion About Trayvon Martin

Geraldo Rivera's son, Gabriel, is reportedly ashamed his father made a controversial statement about Trayvon Martin on Friday.

"Gabriel broke my heart," said Rivera, according to Politico. "He's my oldest, 32, and he just told me that for the first time in his life he's ashamed of what I wrote on [Fox News Latino]," Rivera said in an email."

Friday morning, Rivera said on Fox News's morning program, "Fox and Friends," that he believed the fact that Martin wore a hoodie contributed to his death.

"I am urging the parents of black and Latino youngsters particularly to not let their children go out wearing hoodies," the Fox News host said. "I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin's death as George Zimmerman was."

Rivera also mentioned his younger son, 24-year-old Cruz. He said he had previously warned his son about wearing hoodies out in public.

"When you see a kid walking down the street, particularly a dark-skinned kid like my son Cruz, who I constantly yelled at when he was going out wearing a damn hoodie or those pants around his ankles," he said, before penning an article that appeared on the Fox News Latino website soon after.

The first time?

That itself is shameful.

One thing Geraldo said that I agree with. You were a hoody and you are automatically a suspect. It’s just the nature of the times. Just like in the 50’s, if you sported a duck tail, you were a bad guy. But....I sported one anyway......when I wasn’t around my dad.

For once, he’s right. Black teenagers have been copying the styles of criminals and prisoners for at least 30 years now - and all to their detriment. Stupid.

For once Geraldo Riviera may have a point. It’s the sort of thing Bill Cosby would say. If you don’t want to be thought of as trouble, why dress like it?

I’m ashamed that a self-serving, racist and egomaniac like Jerry Rivers and I, share the same Phylum.

Aside from that, who gives a sh!t.

Trayvon Martin’s plantation attitude is responsible for Trayvon Martin’s death.

He thought that he had a right to assault any Mexican that looked at him.

So, Rivers has a son who wore his pants around his ankles. Now we know Rivers is just a fake hispanic “baby-daddy”. What a punk.

Training.

He was trained by his father, and his school teachers to have a chip on his shoulder, and dress like a convict.

How ironic is it that the culture of made-up names is now urging their peeps to wear hoodies in support of the dead teen? Check FR's latest posts page - - there's a small handful of threads about hoodies. Here's a couple going now:

Trayvon Martin Case: Lebron James Tweets Hoodie Picture In Support

Community leaders urge Houstonians to wear hoodies in support of slain teen

Then there's the "1,000,000 HOODIE MARCH".
Yikes.

Yes in a perfect world a teenage boy (of any race) should be able to dress like a criminal or gang banger without being confused with one and getting shot, just as every teenage girl should be able to dress as scantily as she wants without raising her risk of getting raped...

The problem is we don't, and never will, live in a perfect world. The difference is that conservatives are smart enough to realize it, while liberals think if they just try hard enough they can make the world perfect.

Is the Hoodie just the street's low cost response to the proliferation of cameras in public? They obscure the face from everything but head-on photos.

The US Race War has been underway for decades. This latest outrageous display by the in-your-face, arrogant entitlement parasites is just the latest overt manifestion.

I wonder when (if) whites will finally return fire......

Geraldo doesn’t believe Zimmerman’s a white born again Christian from Iowa either.

When will Obama call Trayvon’s mom?

He was quick to call Sandra Fluke when she needed comforting.

Is it becasue she doesn’t look like Obama’s mom?

Not only is this dressing style a problem in the black and Hispanic community. You see it everywhere. I am tired of seeing rich white kids pretending that they are poor black kids. Listening to the gangsta rap/hip hop music. The talent is there if you look to the artistic part of it, but all these guys rap about is bitches, guns, drugs. It is all about the grand disrespect in a society.

The whole concept of wearing your pants down below your butt cheeks comes from the prison yard. When an inmate wore his pants like that it meant he would not put up a fight if you tried to sex him up. Why would any one want to dress that way. Lil Wayne, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, and the rest of them all sing about the ghetto life, but they all used their money to get out of the ghetto. If ghetto life was so good why do they leave? I know they sing about it, but they are sing about their life experience.
