“From everything I have read he is a hot head, cop wannabe who provoked this episode”.
What makes you think you’ve read everything? You’ve read what has been put out there, by those who control the flow of info, so that you would arrive at that exact conclusion. Looks like it’s working.

Please note the crime in the Rowan case was trespass. Rowan was also committing a crime. The facts, which are irrelevant, to most, will come out.

Wow according to the 911 police tape Martin had given up pursuit of St Trayvee when the little 6'2" man/boy football player ambush tackled and assaulted him.

That is FACT.

How come we don’t hear about the BLACK kids who poured gasoline on a WHITE kid and lit him up?

"They" are already saying that this story is a fabrication by a white kid who stupidly but accidentally set himself on fire.

Rowan's victim was actually commiting a crime; Zimmerman's victim medrely "looked suspiscious."

Zimmerman's "victim" was commiting the crime of assault and battery. Had he not been shot it could have escalated to maiming or manslaughter.

Zimmerman's victim medrely "looked suspiscious." Rowan did not chase his victim to initiate a confrontation after the police told him to back down; Zimmerman apparently pursued Trayvon AFTER THE POLICE TOLD ZIMMERMAN TO BACK DOWN as Trayvon was running away from Zimmerman towards the rear exit to the the neighborhood.

An eyewitness reported that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman and punching him in the face. The background noise on the eyewitness' 911 call to the police support this claim.

I suppose you'd rather believe everything Sharpton, Jackson, The New Black Pampers and the eneMedia claim.

I have not read everything, but from everything i HAVE read, it seemed that Zimmerman had a history of being hot headed. The point is that the media latched onto this story because they assumed it was a white on black killing. Since Zimmerman is obviously not your average looking “white guy” and indeed is hispanic, they are concentrating on the black males are target stories. What is just horrible is that the President of the U.S. actually made a public speech about this case. I can only hope they all walk away with egg on their face.

You are spreading misinformation, please stop. The weapon was secured into evidence, read the report.

I really expect more from Freepers. You should know better than to take press reports as accurate, they are notoriously wrong.

Carl Rowan, IIRC, was a longtime Washington Post columnist. He may have been carried in one of the Chicago fishwrappers, but he didn’t live in town.

And Rowan’s son was an FBI agent at the time and he had given his father the “illegal” firearm, which he used to defend his life and property.

I remember that incident and Rowan was a big anti 2nd amendment guy. Except he didn’t mean it for himself, just other people....

You are correct, Sir. He did live in DC and, for some reason, I thought he lived in a burb of Chicago. He wrote a syndicated column for the Sun-Times and that maybe where that idea came from. One caution: don’t read the Wikipedia entry for him - you’ll hurl yer innards clear across the barnyard.

P.S. Wiki says he was one of the most “highly decorated” journalists. I recently heard an ad talking about somebody as being “highly decorated’, too. Do you suppose people are just getting lazy and stupid about the meaning of decorations, or do you suspect some darker purpose like stolen valor?

I did read the report. On the one I read there was no mention of securing the weapon. In several interviews with town officials, specifically asked about the gun, indicated Zimmerman had it. I guess they are all part of the dis-information conspiracy.

This guy was a dope. No need for a lynch mob— but he is a dope.
