He had a heart attack, two arteries were blocked, 100% in one, 90% in the other, Schiappa said by phone from Dubai. He had two stents put in one artery, one stent in the other.

“I sure hope he recovers.”
Same here. I’m a big fan. I guess he’ll be well taken care of.

Are we the Thoroughbred people on FR?

Muzzie doctors? Wonder if they were trained in the US?
To: Holen1
I saw this earlier, that is a wakeup call.

There are a few of us around.

I guess so. I’m a TB and QH person.

Count me in, although I find it very hard to follow TB racing these days.

Anything but the 1 post and Lucky would have won the Derby. That was my logic then, remains the same. We’ll never know.
To: ConservativeStatement
IMHO, Point Given was Baffert’s best horse. Still can’t believe he didn’t win the Derby.

Used Free House that year. Big fan of Paco Gonzalez.

Surprised to see this. Prayers for him. He's very far ("not that a heart ttack is good anywhere it happens") away.
Glad he's doing well.
Wonder if he'll roll his hospital bed to the track to run his horses?

He’s pretty tight with the Saudi Royals...think he’ll be well cared for.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see him at the track this weekend.

Of course the doctors were trained in the US. The standard of care over there is really quite good, as a result. Not as high as in India, of course, but nothing to quarrel with.
