So he didn’t really violate MA’s constitution...you just don’t like what he did?

No. He violated the state's constitution. The document, drafted by none other than John Adams himself, uniquely invests the legislature with power over the marriage laws. Not the supreme judicial court or the governor. And it expressly forbids any branch from exercising powers reserved to another branch.

Well, I couldn’t get to sleep, so I’ll spend a few minutes before I try again.

Just as the USSC defines our constitution, the MA SC defines its own constitution’s meaning....right or wrong.

It wasn’t struck down by them meaning as far as MA was concerned, it was constitutional. I wouldn’t expect anything else from a state as liberal as MA.

I don’t agree with it, but I don’t live there...and never would because of sh%t like this. But Mittens didn’t break their constitution from the evidence you’ve presented.

On the guns, once again, I don’t agree with Romney about “assault weapons”. However, the government has banned machine guns and explosives for years. That has not been considered unconstitutional and I’m not surprised that MA would extend that to “assault weapons”. You and I know that unless its fully automatic, its not an assault weapon. I, again, am not surprised MA embraced banning them anyway.

However, Obama using czars, refusing to defend the DOMA, and pushin Obamacare has directly gone against the Constitution of the US. THere are other instances, but I too tired to bring them to mind.

That’s the point I was making.

However, I do appreciate your point of view.
